Publication Activity

The Strahov Monastery publishes several printed materials that focus on fields related to the existence and activities of the monastery. Primarily, this includes the collection "Bibliotheca Strahoviensis," whose individual volumes and contents can be viewed on its dedicated page. Additionally, they offer the publication "Biographies of St. Norbert," "Rare Book Bindings of the Strahov Library," and last but not least, a publication dedicated to the Strahov Picture Gallery.

The library of the Strahov Monastery is the only currently functioning monastic library. It is dedicated not only to the care of the book collection and the acquisition of more, but also to scientific activities...

Collections of the Strahov Library

The collections of the Strahov Library contain articles from the fields of monastic studies, church history of Bohemia and Moravia, selectively from library science and auxiliary historical sciences (if related to the library's collections). Mostly in Czech language, they include summaries in foreign languages. Available for purchase in the monastery gift shop.
