!!! On Saturday, September 14th, 2024, all exhibitions will be closed to the public from 9:00 to 11:30 !!!

Starting Thursday, August 22, scaffolding will be installed in the Philosophical Hall, and work will begin on replacing the lighting. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We also thank you for contributing to the restoration of our library by purchasing an admission ticket.

Important Information

• We offer three tour circuits: 1. The Library, 2. The Joint Monastery Tour (including the library, gallery, and historical areas of the monastery), and 3. The Exhibition, if it is ongoing. The process for purchasing a ticket for the Joint Monastery Tour (circuit 2) is slightly different.
• The time 9:00 indicates when the tour circuit opens. The purchased ticket is valid for the entire day (from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
• During the online purchase, you enter your email address: the e-ticket is attached to the email confirming the successful purchase.
• When entering the tour circuit, present your e-ticket either on the display of your mobile phone or in printed form. Scan the ticket's QR code at the turnstile to validate your ticket. Afterward, please show the ticket to the staff present, who will verify the number of authorized persons and the type of admission.
• Some ticket categories can only be purchased at the monastery's ticket office (student discount with ISIC, teacher discount with ITIC, ICOM cardholders, members of orders and congregations, and group tickets).
• A regular tour of the Strahov Library does not include entry into the library halls; you can only view them from the outside. This measure is in place to protect the stored books from damage due to increased humidity. Thank you for your understanding.
